Bulkaway Muruku

Bulkaway Muruku (Yarning Together)

Earlville Library

Singing-Storyteller Aunty Merindi (Kuku Yalanji) along with percussionist Aunty Nikki, (Tolai PNG), and harpist Aunty Natalia (Samoa) bring together yarns and sweet local songs to bring language, culture and love together in a magical storytelling experience for families, enjoyed by all ages.

Bulkaway Muruku ( Yarning Together) is a creative platform connecting global and local First Nations artists, elders and cultural practitioners to bring a blend of stories, songs, yarns, movement, laughs and more to babies, children, and their families. Awakening the age-old tradition of yarning and song to keep culture and stories alive, each session delivered is tailored to meet the needs of the community, organisation, educational, daycare and early years settings, highlighting the importance of song memories, movement and story sharing to transfer knowledge from one generation to the next.

Bulkaway Muruku warmly welcomes all to experience and explore creative learning tools to educate and embrace cultural knowledge systems in the 21st Century.
